Updated on February 22, 2011 LINKS: Some of the links at the left will take you to useful information and forms to download and print using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. If your computer does not have the free Acrobat Reader, you can get it here. At this site, you can choose the version of Acrobat Reader you want to download. (Most people find that Acrobat Reader 5.0, at 8.4 MB, compared to Acrobat Reader 9.0 at 33.4 MB, is a smaller download and a recent enough version to handle most files available on the internet) "General tax questions in Word" will enable you to download general tax questions in Word, fill in your information (except Social Security numbers and other sensitive items), "save as" the resulting file using your name and the year (such as: form1_smith2009) to your hard drive and send it to me as an email attachment. Or, after downloading and printing forms, enter your personal information and send it by snail mail to start the tax or accounting process. "General Tax Questions, pages 1 and 2," can be used as a check-list to gather tax information in preparation for the tax or accounting process. Self-employed, businesses, rental properties, etc. are addressed by the Tax Organizer links. Please download and print the forms which pertain to your situation. Then you can fill them out and bring or mail them to us. Returning clients need to send 2010 information only.New clients should gather tax information from previous years and bring it to our first meeting. Even if you do not itemize deductions, you may be able to deduct property taxes paid. Also, for those anticipating a Homestead Property Tax Credit, please gather both the property taxes PAID and ASSESSED in 2010.
